LOOKING AT THE PRESENT THROUGH THE LENS OF THE PAST
OLD SURVIVAL STRATEGIES
Sometimes the solutions we come up with to deal with stressful or difficult situations are not based on the present. They are driven by the strategies that we developed as children, to survive in an environment that was failing us.
At these moments we are unconsciously looking at the present through the lens of the past. We are unaware of the fact that the very thing that guaranteed our well-being when we were growing up, is now working against us.

Behaviours and blocks rooted in the past can only be resolved by understanding what is really happening; and only after we have explored and experienced for ourselves the alternatives available to us in the present.
THE PERSPECTIVE OF TRAUMA
I approach stuck situations from a trauma perspective. My role is to shed light on the survival strategies you developed as a child that are creating hidden obstacles on your path to greater autonomy and authenticity; and to support you in developing behaviours that are more in alignment with who you are.
YOUR REACTIONS ARE UNDERSTANDABLE TO ME
In our sessions you can expect a safe and warm environment. You will be listened to without judgement.
My approach is based on knowledge and interdisciplinary skills gained through various postgraduate courses and training in the field of trauma and posttraumatic growth.
I use a combination of elements from different methodologies.
However, I use NARM as a starting point.

NARM
NARM (Neuro Affective Relational Model) is a powerful, body-centered, psychological approach specifically designed to address and transform attachment trauma, developmental trauma and complex trauma.

NARM is based on the latest research on the brain and nervous system; and the extent to which relational trauma affects them and changes how they function. NARM works with the present; and that sets it apart from other approaches. For you, this means that you don't have to relive the trauma in order to process it.
IN AN ORGANIC WAY
CLARITY
What usually happens during a NARM conversation is that you organically gain more clarity about the connection between your past and the present. That includes a greater awareness of the impact of small, somewhat "forgotten" traumas.
SENSE OF FREEDOM
As you regain your authenticity, you begin to experience greater freedom in your actions and self- expression.
AUTONOMY
You develop a sense of autonomy in relation to the past and the current environment.
AGENCY
You become aware of your inner resources while increasing your sense of agency.
